2018 DMI Annual Dinner

On Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center, over 600 DMI members, friends and downtown stakeholders gathered in celebration of the 2018 DMI Annual Dinner and Community Asset Awards. Attendees enjoyed a great evening of networking and dinner as well as an inspiring keynote talk by Bruce Katz, the inaugural Director of the Nowak Metro Finance Lab at Drexel University and co-author of The New Localism: How Cities Can Thrive in the Age of Populism. To view a video of Bruce’s talk, click here!

The dinner also served as the venue to present the 2018 Downtown Community Asset Awards. The awards were developed as a way to publicly thank individuals and organizations who contribute significantly to improving the quality of life within the downtown community. The 2018 award recipient was the Madison Area Sports Commission for their work on Bucky on Parade! A video recap of the award produced by Focal Flame Photography, can be viewed here.
