Inclusiveness

DMI works with our partners to identify, support, and promote projects, economic opportunities, and policies that encourage a full spectrum of cultural richness and viewpoints within DMI and our downtown community.

We believe downtown must be a place where all people are invited and feel welcome to live, work, shop, learn, and visit.

DMI has many members whose missions and voices most directly address racial diversity, equity, and inclusion: Access to IndependenceBig Brothers, Big Sisters of Dane CountyCommon Wealth DevelopmentCommunity Shares of WisconsinLatino Academy of Workforce DevelopmentLatino Chamber of Commerce of Dane CountyLatino Professionals AssociationLocal Voices NetworkMadison Area Urban Ministry (MUM)Maydm, Inc.One City SchoolsOpportunity, Inc.Sustain DaneUnited Way of Dane CountyUrban League of Greater Madison, and YWCA.  We encourage those looking for resources, ways to get involved, and how to donate financially, to reach out to these organizations and support them in their work.
