Transportation

The Madison area must have transportation policies and sustainable funding that encourage a multi-modal transportation system providing solutions vital to the transportation and parking challenges facing our region, city, and downtown.

  • Actively support the city-wide multi-modal transportation system.
  • Work with our partners to find sustainable funding for a regional transportation system in Dane County area.
  • Support and advocate for a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) System for Madison and the use of TIF to assist with BRT and other multi-modal transportation infrastructure.
  • Encourage the formation of public/private partnerships needed to fund, sustain, and grow Metro Transit.
  • Collaborate with businesses and the City to identify and promote incentives that encourage employees, customers, and clients to use sustainable multi-modal transportation options.
  • Work with our partners to help ensure the provision of fast and efficient movement of people and things throughout downtown Madison.
  • Work with the City of Madison and private sector to complete a bike network that allows people of all ages and all abilities to get to their destinations downtown and throughout the city on low-stress routes.
  • Support the city of Madison in efforts to ensure adequate parking in the downtown and promote new parking technologies and features.
