Bethel Lutheran Church, located in the heart of downtown Madison, will soon celebrate its 170th anniversary (from 1855-2025)! The church has been at its present location, 312 Wisconsin Avenue – between the well-travelled streets of Johnson and Gorham – for half that time, since 1941. Bethel’s tag line is ‘A City wide church with a World wide ministry’ and they take that seriously! Their outreach spans the realm of hosting a busy Food Pantry and Homeless Support services as well as deep partnerships in Puerto Rico, the Chernobyl region of Ukraine, and Bible classes in Africa and Indonesia. Bethel is known for inspirational preaching and exceptional music. They welcome all to join in worship, community programs and mission.
Celebrate Octoberfest in the comfort of Bethel’s Sacred Grounds gathering space on the main level – but feel free to check out other meeting spaces in the building. This event is generously underwritten by Moren Investments.
Many attendees will find parking in their surface lot, enter off Gorham, or on the surrounding streets – if you park in the city ramp, enter off Carroll. Bethel will provide a complimentary voucher for your fees this evening. A limited amount of street parking may also be available. Metro Transit, Madison BCycle, and bicycle transportation are options as well.
You can enter the building from the parking lot or the front doors on Wisconsin Ave.
