The next DMI Behind the Scenes event will feature a tour of Metro Transit’s newest satellite facility at Hanson Road which included a $16M remodel project to support their electric bus fleet. The building was designed to safely support electric bus storage with enough parking space for Metro’s newest fleet of 62 articulated electric buses. This facility includes spaces for administrative offices, building and grounds office and shop, bus wash service lanes, fueling, electric chargers, maintenance repair bays, parts storage, drivers lounge and extra space for driver training. With the launch of bus rapid transit in September of 2024, this facility was instrumental in Metro Transit’s growth.
This event is open to DMI members only and registration is required to attend as space is limited.
