Join the Wisconsin Policy Forum and DMI on Thursday, October 17, for a free discussion on the upcoming referenda in Madison! This event will focus on the Nov. 5 Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) referenda to raise property taxes by $100 million more than otherwise allowed under state law over the next four years and to allow the district to borrow up to $507 million to renovate or replace 10 schools. In addition, we will discuss the $22 million operating referendum for the city of Madison.
We’ll begin with a brief presentation that will lay out the facts about the ballot questions and their impacts. Then we’ll interview the Mayor and MMSD superintendent about the questions and follow that up with a discussion with two additional panelists. Our guests will be:
Satya Rhodes-Conway |
Dr. Joe Gothard |
Robert Procter |
Melinda Heinritz |
We’ll conclude with questions from the audience. Registration is free, but required for this event.
