Town of Dunn Food Cart Night
Join Groundswell Conservancy and hosts Carole and Don Schmidt, along with Custom Metals, on Wednesday, July 27 from 5:30 to 7:30pm for an evening on the land. There will be a short program at 6:30pm.
Purchase your food and then find a spot to settle in to enjoy the picturesque setting of Carole and Don’s prairie with friends and neighbors. Then walk the trails through their incredible prairie. The American prairie is one of the most threatened ecosystems on the planet. Thanks to the Schmidt’s, their prairie is protected forever with a conservation easement.
This is also a great chance to meet Groundswell Conservancy’s new Executive Director Angela West Blank! She’d love to connect with you out on the land and learn why local conservation matters to you.
Featured food carts include: Delta Beer Lab, Cafe Costa Rica, and Melted.
Plus, in recognition of the Town’s Purchase of Development Rights (PDR) program to protect agricultural lands, the Town of of Dunn will be presented with Gathering Water’s prestigious Working Land Preservation award at this event. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate and honor their efforts!
This is a Wisconsin Land Trust Days Event.
What to bring: Cash for food, blanket or camp chairs, and sturdy shoes if you plan to walk the trails. Depending on the weather, sunscreen and bug spray are recommended. There are restrooms on site.
Registration: Entry to this event is free. Food and beverages are available for purchase. All are welcome to attend, but registration is encouraged so they know how many people to expect. (Depending on the number of registrations, they may need more food trucks.)
