Bikes for Kids Wisconsin Spring Forward Fund Campaign

On February 20th, the Bikes for Kids Wisconsin Spring Forward Fund campaign goes live through March 1st! This is an online fundraiser that will support the 2025 Bike Giveaway Program with a donor match where your donation will be doubled for twice the impact. Through the Bike Giveaway Program, Bikes for Kids has distributed over 12,600 bicycles to people in need since 2017. This program, which reduces transportation barriers, costs $280,000 each year. Their goal is to raise $10,000.

Expenses for this program include the cost of bike parts and tool purchases, the necessary costs to collect, refurbish, and store approximately 2,500 bikes annually, and operational expenses to support the 12,000 sq. ft. bike center, professional staff and their robust volunteer network.

Bikes for Kids Wisconsin also offers the Bike Mechanics Youth Development Program in partnership with the Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR), the Bike to Work Program, low-cost repair services and used bike sales for the public, and the Community Bike Disposal Program.
