The River Food Pantry: Pack the Pantry on Packers Ave
The River Food Pantry, one of our DMI members, is moving to a new much larger location at 3301 Packers Ave. The River is the busiest food pantry in Dane County, serving Madison and the surrounding areas. The new facility will allow them to expand services and reach even more people as the need for food assistance continues to rise. Before opening their doors on 1/30, they are asking the community to help them fill the new warehouse with non-perishable food and other essentials. Donated food is great. Money is appreciated too. The ‘Pack the Pantry on Packers’ campaign is a great way for your business to get involved with a vital and well-respected non-profit organization in our community. There are several ways for a business to help:
- Donate food or money directly at 3301 Packers Ave. OR the temporary pop-up donation location at 127 State Street – this might be a more convenient location for many downtown businesses!
- Host a food drive at your business. Competitions are always fun.
- Host a Round Up campaign.
- Sponsor cases of food or supplies with a financial contribution. Help the River purchase cases at wholesale pricing!
