The Middleton Chamber of Commerce is searching for an Executive Director.
Position Summary:
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive of both the Middleton Chamber and its Foundation (501(c)(3). Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for leading strategy, operations, staff, programs, and stakeholder engagement.
This role ensures the Chamber’s mission and vision are carried out through effective programming, strong financial stewardship, and strategic partnerships with businesses, government entities, and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategic Direction: Implement and evaluate strategic initiatives, business plans, and operations in collaboration with the Board.
- Board & Governance Support: Engage and support the Board of Directors, manage communications, prepare materials, and ensure alignment with policies and goals.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets; oversee financial performance and reporting.
- Membership & Program Development: Drive member engagement, retention, and value; support event and program success in alignment with business needs.
- Workforce & Economic Development: Collaborate on workforce initiatives and build partnerships that enhance regional economic vitality.
- Advocacy & Policy: Represent the Chamber’s interests with government and community stakeholders; lead advocacy efforts aligned with business priorities.
- Community Relations: Serve as a public-facing leader, promoting the Chamber and building coalitions with businesses, non-profits, and civic organizations.
- Staff & Operations: Lead, support, and grow a high-performing team; oversee HR functions and organizational culture; ensure operational efficiency and facility management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of executive-level leadership experience in business, nonprofit, or membership-based organizations.
- Strong financial management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in strategic planning, advocacy, and workforce or economic
development. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
