Shine On Madison Kicks Off the Season of Lights Downtown

Madison’s Central Business Improvement District (BID) invites the entire community downtown for the return of Shine On Madison, kicking off with the tree lighting ceremony at Lisa Link Peace Park on Saturday, November 22 from 4:00-6:00pm (tree lighting ceremony 5:00pm). Celebrate the holiday season as they turn on festive lighting and décor on State Street, Capitol Square and King Street!

Shine On Madison is a six-week celebration of Madison’s unique downtown shops, restaurants, nightlife and cultural institutions. Local shopping specials and holiday events and programs are scheduled throughout the season, including:

  • NEW: Santa On State
  • Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony
  • Downtown Holiday Open House
  • Live Music at Top of State
  • Window Décor Scavenger Hunt
  • Hot Cocoa Crawl
  • Cookie Walk
  • Downtown Holiday Carolers
