DMI works with our partners to identify, support, and promote projects, economic opportunities, and policies that encourage a full spectrum of cultural richness and viewpoints within DMI and our downtown community.
We believe downtown must be a place where all people are invited and feel welcome to live, work, shop, learn, and visit.
DMI has many members whose missions and voices most directly address racial diversity, equity, and inclusion: Access to Independence, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Dane County, Common Wealth Development, Community Shares of Wisconsin, JustDane, Latino Academy of Workforce Development, Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County, Latino Professionals Association, Local Voices Network, Maydm, Inc., NAMI Dane County, One City Schools, Sustain Dane, United Way of Dane County, Urban League of Greater Madison, and YWCA. We encourage those looking for resources, ways to get involved, and how to donate financially, to reach out to these organizations and support them in their work.
All DMI members are welcome to attend meetings.
