Old National Bank seeking a DEI Program Director
In June 2021, First Midwest Bank announced its intent to merge with Old National Bank. As a result, the combined company will become the 5th largest regional bank with $45B in total assets, $33B Assets Under Management in Wealth Management, $4B mortgage originations, over 270 branches operating in 7 states, and approximately 4,000 employees.
The combined banks are seeking a DEI Program Director. This role reports to the Senior Vice President and Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). As a new team, they are responsible for designing and integrating a company-wide DEI strategy that aligns with the core vision, mission, and values of the company. Key focus areas include, but are not limited to, Talent Acquisition & Career Mobility, Learning and Development, Workplace Culture, Community Engagement, Colleague Engagement and Governance. The Program Director will work closely with the Head of DEI, members of the Human Resource team, Corporate Responsibility, and line of business leaders to ensure integration of DEI principles into every facet of company processes and practices, execute on priorities in the key focus areas of the strategy and drive successful outcomes.
The ideal candidate is an agile, self-starter who thrives in an evolving and growth environment, is a continuous learner and thought leader who is passionate about DEI, and is proficient at designing, building, and executing end to end programs and processes. With in-depth knowledge of DEI principles and practices, as well as broad knowledge of employee engagement and corporate responsibility principles, the ideal candidate excels in building and influencing cross-functional, collaborative relationships to drive results.
