Join Mundo Esperanza for a 20-mile pilgrimage through Madison’s sacred landscapes – forests, prairies, trails, and Indigenous effigy mounds beginning at Covenant Presbyterian Church and ending at Lake Farm County Park. Inspired by both a recent 50-mile walk and the sacred practices of ancient cultures — from the Vision Quest to Misogi to the Qoyllur Rit’i pilgrimage of the Andes. Shaped by belief, fueled by hope, tested by challenge—and driven by a timeless instinct to walk, to seek, and to discover. This is a day to leave comfort behind and take a journey of purpose toward your greater Self—while helping bring clean, life-giving water to the people of Tomacaya, Peru.
