Maxwell Street Days Returns to State Street

The 51st annual Maxwell Street Days Summer Sidewalk Sale will take place in downtown Madison, WI from Thursday, July 16 to Sunday, July 19. Downtown Madison businesses are excited for the return of the sidewalk sale tradition taking place, as usual, along the full length of State Street.

Dates and Times for 2026 Maxwell Street Days:

Thursday, July 16, 9am-6pm
Friday, July 17, 9am-6pm
Saturday, July 18, 9am-6pm
Sunday, July 19, 10am-5pm

Enjoy deep discounts, expanded outdoor café dining experiences, live music, special activities and much more as you walk State Street. Maxwellstreetdays.org offers a complete list of participants and entertainment for this year’s event. State Street will become a pedestrian mall for this event and therefore will be closed to bus and bike traffic.
