Madison College is looking for a Vice President/Chief Diversity Officer
Madison College invites applicants for the position of Vice President/Chief Diversity Officer. This position is a senior advisor and member of the President’s Cabinet, with responsibility for strategic leadership, innovation, and vision to advance and foster inclusive excellence for faculty, students, and staff. The position works closely with Cabinet colleagues, college leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion are core institutional values and carried through the college’s mission of teaching, service, and community engagement.
The Chief Diversity Officer leads the Office of Equity and Inclusion and works collaboratively in coordinating with Office, and other college employees/units, who are responsible for equity, diversity, and inclusion. The position facilitates the sharing of best practices, identifies opportunities for greater alignment and more unified efforts across the college, and provides expertise and support for these initiatives.
Priorities for this role are strategy and engagement; coordination and alignment; communications; and success metrics. Working with the appropriate cabinet member or college leader(s), the chief diversity officer focuses on learning; recruitment and retention of students, faculty, and staff; community relations; and communications.
