Legendary: An Evening of Celebration

Represented Collective is proud to present Legendary: An Evening of Celebration on Monday, July 11th from 5:15 to 7:30pm at the Goodman Community Center.

Legendary: An Evening of Celebration, honors the innovative and nuanced feats Legendary women in STEM have accomplished through a night of critical conversation and celebration. The night’s itinerary includes a panel of industry professionals leading discussions emerging from their Legendary card collection (e.g., representation, identity, and racial and gender biases in STEM, among others) and how we can take tangible solutions in creating thriving environments for women of color in STEM. The panel includes:

Ana Hooker, MBA – SVP, Chief Laboratory Officer, Exact Sciences
Angela Jenkins – Technology Project Manager, American Family Insurance
Ponmozhi Manickavalli Sathappan – IT Manager, CUNA Mutual Group
Jasmine Zapata, MD, MPH – Chief Medical Officer for Community Health, Division of Public Health at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services

The evening will also honor UW-Madison professors, Erika Bullock and Maxine McKinney de Royston, whose work is making waves in creating equitable STEM educational practices.
