June 11 Madison Night Market Canceled Due to Severe Weather Forecast

Out of an abundance of caution and due to the severe weather forecast, the June 11 Madison Night Market has been cancelled. The safety of their vendors, store owners and staff, performers and market attendees is their top priority, and unfortunately that is jeopardized given the risk of severe weather.
According to the current National Weather Service forecast, heavy rain and the potential for thunderstorms with lightening could make vendor set-up extremely difficult in the afternoon. Into the evening, there is another round of showers and thunderstorms – with the potential for strong and gusty winds. If that were to occur, it would trigger their threshold for evacuation of the market.
While they are disappointed to cancel the market, public safety is more important.
The incredible vendors, businesses, sponsors, partners and the Madison community are what make the Madison Night Market special. They look forward to welcoming everyone to their next market on Thursday, August 20.
The Madison Night Market is brought to you by Madison’s Central Business Improvement District, in partnership with the City of Madison.
