Indigenous Natures: Science, Traditional Wisdom, and Poetry
Join Mundo Esperanza and the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies for the CHE-sponsored Earth Fest event on April 26th from 8am-2:30pm at the Wisconsin Energy Institute, 1552 University Avenue, Madison! The goals for this event are:
- Establish new perspectives on science and culture.
- Create new synergies between Indigenous and non-Indigenous elements of our communities.
- Build bridges between urban and rural wisdoms.
Lunch will be served after the final presentation.
Free parking is available on Saturday in Lot 41 next to the Wisconsin Energy Institute (WEI) building. Enter on University Avenue at the Breese Terrace intersection. If you are driving and arrive between 10:20 and 11:20 a.m., access to Lot 41 will be restricted due to the Crazylegs race event. Free parking is also available in Lot 40 at 1655 Linden Drive; use the walkover bridge to get to the WEI building.
Event sponsored by the Center for Culture, History, and Environment (CHE) with special thanks to the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, Mundo Esperanza, the Holtz Center, the UW-Madison English department, and the Integrated Liberal Studies Program for their generous support.
