Give Education Day 2021
The Foundation for Madison’s Public Schools is participating in the inaugural Give Education Day on March 24, 2021.
In early March, the Madison Metropolitan School District welcomed some of their youngest scholars back to the classroom, close to one year after COVID closures began. For those students (and teachers), March may feel more like the start of a new school rather than a signpost of spring.
Give Education Day 2021 comes at a perfect time. Return to school always brings a high demand for student and classroom resources. With your donation, the Foundation for Madison’s Public Schools will be able to relieve the burden and stress of teachers self-funding essential student and classroom supplies. Your donations will be used to:
provide basic school supplies such as backpacks, paper, pencils, crayons, scissors, rulers, etc. for students whose families cannot provide them;
offer well-being resources such as journals, stress-balls, and water bottles, for students experiencing ongoing stress and anxiety hindering their capacity for learning; and
support emerging summer school 2021 needs, and the anticipated return of all students for the 2021-2022 school year.
For 20 years, the Foundation has been steadfast in their commitment to support Madison’s public schools. With your investment, they are helping to create equitable school environments where every scholar can thrive, and graduates ready for college, career and community.
Please join this work and invest for the best Madison schools.
