Doug Sina, President & CEO of JT, stated, “We are excited to welcome Garret to our team. With this exciting addition, we are expanding our services, cultivating new possibilities, and continuing to shape community spaces that inspire. His collaborative spirit and passion for good design brings an experienced and fresh view to his new role as Director of Landscape Architecture. Garret’s designs integrate environmental, political, socioeconomic, and cultural elements, ensuring they are both beautiful and functional. Garret’s career is defined by a commitment to timeless design, community involvement, and sustainable practices. A few of his designs are award-winning projects in Wisconsin. Garret’s command of landscape architecture, his intimate familiarity with construction detailing and material selection and his thematic and uplifting aesthetic approach, aligns seamlessly with JT’’s vision.
Reflecting on his new role, Perry stated, “I am over the moon to be working at JT Engineering. During our talks, it became very clear that JT Engineering was different. They’re not the stogey, straight line engineering firm that you are used to seeing. They feel young and have a fresh perspective and attitude. They’re (or should I now say we) not afraid to look at design through an alternative lens. I am excited for the possibilities and the opportunity to impact a larger audience. I can’t wait to show our current and future clients what we can do!”
Early in his career, Garret attended Milwaukee Area Technical College where he received an associate degree in Ornamental Horticulture. After practicing in the design build trades for 7 years, Garret attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture.
