Curd Fest Returns to Breese Stevens Field for its 9th Year
Curd Fest, Wisconsin’s first annual celebration of the incomparable Cheese Curd, will return to Madison’s Breese Stevens Field on Saturday, July 23rd from 4:00-8:00pm. With something for everyone, Wisconsin’s original Festival of Curds looks to continue its legacy as the premier venue for appreciating and celebrating the squeaky, gooey glory of those delectable baby cheddar bites.
Curd Fest is a FREE admission event featuring fried cheese curds, fresh cheese curds, food trucks, cheese-y demonstrations, games, henna, balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, a curd-eating contest, beverages, and simply a wonderful, jovial time for people of all ages!
Festivities commence at 4:00pm, when gates open for the event, and will adjourn at 8:00pm. The fest will feature two cheese-focused demonstrations in 2022: a live cheese carving demonstration and sampling featuring Madison, WI native Sarah Kauffman a.k.a. “The Cheese Lady” and “The Life of Cheese”, cheese making demonstration with multiple-time “Best Fresh Curd” winner Farmer John Dougherty.
