Cultivating a Culture of Black Wellness Discussion
Join The Center For Black Excellence And Culture on Tuesday, February 15 from 5-6pm (virtual) for an important discussion about the role of The Center in Black wellness.
The future of health care will require a different strategy where communities focus on maintaining good health to thrive. Dr. David Rakel, MD, Chair of the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and founder of the UW Integrative Medicine Program will join forces with Rev. Dr. Alex Gee and Dr. Adrienne Hampton to discuss cultural strategies for promoting Black wellness.
Dr. Rakel’s work focuses on salutogenic science (science which supports human health), and the exploration of the origins of health and reproducing healing patterns. Many of these patterns will be found within the space and programs of The Center For Black Excellence And Culture and will positively impact Black Wellness in our region.
