City of Madison Real Estate Manager Position Open for Recruitment
The City of Madison’s Office of Real Estate Services Manager position is now open for recruitment. This managerial position leads the Office of Real Estate Services in the City’s Economic Development Division completes the necessary real estate work and financial negotiations needed for public projects (street reconstructions) and private projects (such as downtown office developments) to proceed. As Manager of the Office of Real Estate Services, this individual serves in a leadership capacity within City government; playing a key role in the success of some of the community’s most visible projects. Responsibilities include the following:
- Direct oversight of the acquisition, sale and leasing of real estate needed for City projects.
- Negotiation of Tax Increment Finance (TIF) investment and other real estate agreements with developers and businesses for private projects.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Economic Development Division Director, with significant oversight by the Department of Planning, Community, and Economic Development Director and Deputy Mayor for Economic Development.
