CG Schmidt Madison Office Welcomes New Project Superintendents
CG Schmidt Construction’s Madison office is excited to announce the following Superintendents: Al Post, Tim Abel, Mark Butteris, Greg Mathews, and Don Dobbertin.
Al Post brings over 20 years of experience in construction management and a proven ability to manage project scopes, meet deadlines, and build strong relationships with clients and vendors. His expertise includes project management software like ProCore, Outbuild, and P6, as well as overseeing subcontractors and ensuring regulatory compliance. Previously, as a Commercial Construction Superintendent at Gardner Builders, Al managed projects, conducted quality audits, led safety meetings, and coordinated schedules with clients and trade partners.
Tim Abel brings more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, with deep expertise in project management, site supervision, and client relations. Most recently, as a Site/General Superintendent at Gardner Builders in Milwaukee, he managed a range of corporate, community, and religious projects, overseeing job site management, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client relations. His previous experience with other firms further equipped him to successfully manage residential and commercial projects nationwide.
Mark Butteris began his career in construction in 1991 as a carpenter and carpenter foreman, developing a deep expertise in project execution and on-site management. With twenty years of experience as a superintendent and a career spanning over three decades in the construction industry, Mark brings extensive expertise and leadership to the team.
Greg Mathews has over 20 years of construction management experience and found his true calling in the Superintendent role after starting as an Assistant Superintendent and briefly exploring project management and estimating. His work as a Superintendent has taken him to diverse locations, including the Poconos, Pennsylvania, where he contributed to the development of Kalahari Resorts, the largest indoor waterpark in the United States.
Don Dobbertin brings a strong background in managing large ground-up projects, coordinating multiple trades, and consistently ensuring high-quality workmanship. His extensive experience as a Traveling Superintendent and his dedication to maintaining rigorous safety standards, including a prior role as a Safety and Quality Management Coordinator, will be invaluable to their team and projects.
