Borgore is an Israeli electronic music producer, DJ, singer-songwriter, and rapper, renowned for his role in popularizing and pushing the boundaries of the dubstep genre. Born as Asaf Borger in Tel Aviv, he initially began his music career as a drummer for a deathcore band before transitioning to electronic music. Borgore’s style is provocative and often controversial, blending heavy basslines, aggressive vocals, and explicit lyrics, leading him to dub his own sound as “gorestep.” Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various artists across multiple genres and has been both praised and criticized for his unapologetic approach to music and performance. Beyond his musical endeavors, Borgore is also the founder of the record label Buygore Records, which has provided a platform for numerous budding artists in the electronic music scene.
