Attorneys Brody Richter and Theresa Roetter Elected to DeWitt’s Executive Committee
DeWitt LLP law firm announced it has elected Brody Richter and Theresa Roetter to its Executive Committee effective July 1, 2021. The role of DeWitt’s Executive Committee is to oversee and hold accountable the firm’s management team, including the President and Managing Partner. This includes providing feedback and opinions about the management team’s sustainability and growth strategies, operational plans, budgets, financial performance, and risk assessments.
Richter is a Partner in the DeWitt’s Madison office and is Co-Chair of its Business Law practice group. His practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactional matters, commercial real estate, and private securities transactions. He assists a wide array of clients, from individuals to major corporations and his clients have included, but are not limited to, small retail businesses, large commercial real estate developers, major manufacturing companies and tax-exempt organizations. Richter earned a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School (Member of the Moot Court Board) and a B.S. from Ohio University. He was a member of the 2019 In Business Magazine’s 40 under 40 class, was a founding member of the Community Around the Children’s Hospital (“CATCH”) and is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin.
Roetter is a Partner and member of DeWitt’s Family Law practice group in Madison. Her practice focuses on assisted reproduction and adoption. She is one of just a handful of attorneys in Wisconsin with this combination of practice areas, her practice is state-wide, and her clients come from Wisconsin, other U.S. States, and many foreign countries. She earned a J.D. from Marquette University Law School and a B.A., cum laude, from St. Norbert College. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Adoption & Assisted Reproduction Attorneys and Member of the American Bar Association and its Family Law Section – Assisted Reproductive Technology Committee, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Legal Practice Group, the National Association of Counsel for Children, and the State Bar of Wisconsin and its Children & the Law Section.
