ACCESS to Independence: New Executive Director Announced
After an extensive national search, the ACCESS to Independence Board of Directors has selected Jason Beloungy as the next Executive Director, effective March 1, 2019. Jason succeeds ACCESS’s long-term Executive Director, Dee Nash, who is retiring after 10 years of service!
Jason has spent the last 15 years in a variety of roles within the independent living movement. Since 2010, Jason has been the Assistant Director of ACCESS, where he has provided leadership for the services offered by the agency, as well as involvement in systemic change through advocacy, education, and collaboration. Previously, Jason was a Policy Analyst for the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL) in Washington, D.C. NCIL is the nation’s longest-running, cross-disability grassroots organization run by and for people with disabilities. Jason began his work in the movement as an Independent Living Specialist for Independent Living Resources in La Crosse, WI. Through a branch office in southwest Wisconsin, Jason led center’s disability advocacy efforts and provided independent living services.
