Downtown Madison, Inc. (DMI) is THE voice of the central city and was formed over 30 years ago to address decaying conditions in downtown Madison. Today we see the fruits of our labor in our healthy and thriving downtown. We are a not-for-profit advocacy organization that exists for and because of our over 500 members. A great region depends on a strong urban core, and that's where we come in. We represent the interests of businesses, residents, employees and visitors in Madison to ensure that our downtown is a great place to live, work, and visit.

DMI has played an instrumental role in the revitalization of downtown Madison. From supporting and advocating for the Monona Terrace and the Overture Center for the Arts to starting the Central Business Improvement District, DMI is a strong, active and involved organization.
