DMI and Milwaukee Downtown are excited to present the next episode in our event series, The Madison + Milwaukee Downtown Exchange. For this series, speakers from the two cities share ideas on how the regions can work together for greater collaboration, growth, and investment.
The Importance of Sports to Downtowns
Downtown Milwaukee and Madison are the homes of some of Wisconsin’s most successful professional and collegiate sports programs that generate significant economic benefits for each of the respective downtowns and the greater regions. From hotel room stays to spending at retailers, restaurants, and more, sports are an important component of attractive and vibrant downtowns.
Hear from Milwaukee Bucks President, Peter Feigin and University of Wisconsin Madison’s Director of Athletics, Chris McIntosh in a moderated panel discussion in our first in-person Madison + Milwaukee Downtown Exchange in the Deer District.
