Connect with DMI members at a hot new spot or a place with something new downtown.
Thursday, March 12, 2020, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
In response to the updated recommendation from Public Health Madison Dane County (PHMDC) and UW-Madison’s plan regarding COVID-19, DMI along with Urban Land Interests and the Monroe Street Arts Center have decided to postpone tomorrow’s March 12th, DMI New Faces, New Places until a future date.
We thank you for your interest in the event, which received more than 120 RSVPs. We hope that you can visit the businesses featured, 1722 Monroe Apartments, The Monroe Street Arts Center, Garth’s Brew Bar and Base Camp Fitness, at another time in the near future.
At this time, PHMDC is “recommending event organizers avoid bringing large groups of people together and canceling or postponing events as is feasible” and “all (UW-Madison) campus events (including Division of Extension sponsored events outside of Dane County) of more than 50 people are canceled through at least April 10, with limited exceptions to be granted by deans or vice chancellors.”
While PHMDC reports that the risk in Dane County is currently low, we felt it necessary to take the precautionary steps as advised by PHMDC and follow the lead of UW-Madison. We will continue to follow the recommendations from PHMDC and be sure to keep you informed if any additional changes or cancellations of DMI events and/or meetings arise. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding. If you have any questions, please let us know.
