DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to an Envision Downtown Madison virtual meeting on Monday\, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. This public meeting will be jointly held by the City of Madison Downtown Area Plan project team and the Downtown Madison\, Inc. (DMI) Downtown Strategy project team. This event will discuss the same material that was presented at the April 30 open house at the Madison Municipal Building and aims to reach those who were unable to attend the April 30 event in person. \nYou can join the virtual meeting via Zoom using your computer\, smartphone\, or tablet\, or you can listen in via telephone. You will receive login information after registering at this link. \nMeeting materials from the April open house are available on the Downtown Area Plan webpage. DESCRIPTION:Our next book is ‘Angels in the Rye\,’ a 2018 novel by the Wisconsin author- Marsha Martin-Yates\, as recommended by our friend- Peter Gray. \nhttps://www.goodreads.com/book/show/52390074-angels-in-the-rye \nWe selected ‘Angels in the Rye’ because: \n-It fits thematically with our book group’s focus on inclusiveness and diverse stories. \n-It is a novel by a Wisconsin author: Marsha Martin-Yates\, who lives in Sturgeon Bay. \n-The book is being made into a movie\, which we may have a later opportunity to watch. \nUnfortunately\, the Madison/Dane County Library systems do not have copies of the book\, so we need to purchase it.
