Candidate Endorsements

The DMI Board of Directors approved a slate of candidate endorsements for the City of Madison Common Council spring election taking place on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017. These endorsements signify the importance the City of Madison elections play within the entire downtown Madison community and the impact the policies and vision our local elected officials have on the continued health and vitality of downtown. The following candidates have been endorsed by the DMI Board of Directors:

City of Madison Common Council (endorsements made in contested races only)

District 1: Barbara McKinney (i)
District 8: Zach Wood (i)
District 10: Maurice Cheeks (i)
District 11: Dual Endorsement: Bradley Campbell and Arvina Martin
District 14: Sheri Carter (i)

We encourage you to use these endorsements as a guideline for supporting candidates in the City of Madison spring election on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017. Please note, endorsements were made in contested races only. Your financial support is also important at this time. We encourage you to write a check and send it directly to the candidate of your choice. The DMI Board asks that you give special consideration to supporting the DMI endorsed candidates.
